The annual Rough Riders clinic on Lake Murray, SC this year was a huge success. A ton of boats and people showed up for some lessons and to check out the scene. It was a great time to network and hopefully gain a few fans.

Murray, Zane Schwank, and myself were there to coach lessons and do some demos. I had a great time at the event definitely plan on going next year.

After the clinic we went straight into the Supra photo shoot in Knoxeville on lake Norris. We were blessed with great weather the entire trip and Bill Doster came out to shoot. Hopefully you'll be seeing a fair few shots in the next mag.

Then Friday was the start of the Pro Am. It was pretty warm Friday afternoon and the course would have been perfect had it not been for the walls that caused come roll back. I definitely had my best qualifying pass this year so far, doing things like heelside 270 transfer on 270 off, and toeside frontside 270 transfer. It was enough to win the heat, which put me in a good position for Saturday. Then on Saturday I qualified on the Sunday as well, making this my third time in a row where I rode on Sunday.

Sunday was the top 12, and all the usual guys were there. In my head I had Jimmy Lariche, Aaron Rathy, and myself. Only one of us was gonna make it through. I was first off the dock and I went out there and had one of, if not my best, contest passes so far. I did a bunch of technical tricks and transferred well. Jimmy was right after me and had a few unfortunate falls. Then Rathy had a killer stand up pass. I still thought I may be in the lead, but when the scores came out he beat me by .5. When I asked the Judges about it, they said he held his grab longer on his backside 540. So, I was a little disappointed not to make the top 4, but I'm still stoked for a 5th place finish, putting me in 11th place overall by 8 points.

I heard after the event that my toeside 270 transfer nearly won me the Air force obstacle reward, but Bryan Hutton took home the gold with his backside 270 transfer on 270 out. Congrats Bryan!

Then event finished with Rusty in 3rd, Rathy 2nd, Andrew A 3rd, and Daniel Watkins 4th.
